Main Objectives

  • to promote the study, prevention and relief of cardiovascular diseases

  • to promote, coordinate and assist scientific programs relating to cardiovascular problems

  • to encourage, assist and coordinate the development of programs of public information and education on cardiovascular problems

  • to assist existing national and continental societies and foundations in all other appropriate ways and to stimulate the formation of such organizations in countries where none exist

  • to contribute to the maintenance of ethical standards in the exercise of the specially

  • to cooperate with other voluntary and official agencies having related interests

  • to promote periodic World Congresses as well as other scientific and professional meetings

Participants

    Over 10,000 are expected to attend the XIII World Congress of Cardiology including leading cardiologists and representatives from national and continental societies and foundations.

Committees

  • A Scientific Committee directs the scientific content presented at each World Congress.

  • A Social Committee directs the social agenda at each World Congress.

  • A Regional Advisory Committee advises the Organizing Committee with the respect to the interests of cardiologists throughout the world.

  • A local Advisory Committee advises the Organizing Committee with the respect to the

  • interests of the appropriate continental cardiology society.

Governing Body

Languages

    The official language of the XIII World Congress is English with translations made to Portuguese.
    Hostesses will be available throughout the event to provide translation in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese.
