|   The 1998 XIIIth World Congress of Cardiology is an international event that occurs
        only once every four years. The XIII World Congress of Cardiology is not a joint Brazilian
        Congress, nor a Latin American Congress - it is a global event that is meeting in Rio de
        Janeiro in 1998 for the purpose of sharing scientific advancement in the field of
        cardiology. Some 10,700 participants and 279 exhibitors are expected to attend. This
        congress is being promoted all major cardiology events throughout the world.  
        Riocenter, the world class host to the 1992 Environmental
        Summit which was attended by 120 heads of state from around the world, is the facility
        hosting the XIII World Congress of Cardiology.  
        Professional congress planners from the United States and Europe will be employed to
        plan and execute the XIII World Congress of Cardiology.  
        All corporate financial support will be fully insured by an international insurance
        carrier for liability/congress concellation purposes.  
        The XIII World Congress of Cardiology guarantees no changes will be made to the agreed
        upon exhibition space and location, and the symposium dates, times and location.  
        The XIII World Congress of Cardiology has arranged with government officials special
        customs processing for the congress participants to ensure quick and timely entry of
        exhibitions and equipment.  
        The Underwriters, Benefactors, Sponsors and Contributors will have the first option of
        refusal in any new promotion, advertising activity that may be offered in the future. The
        options will be given per assignment date.  
        An Exhibitor Advisory Committee will be formed, with the purpose of improving channels
        of communication and receiving suggestions. The corporate Underwriters, Benefactors,
        Sponsors and Contributors will be active participants.
