Word from the President
Dear Colleagues,
In 2012, the Directors of SBC offered its members an unprecedented
international course: the ACCF/BSC Cardiovascular Symposium in Brazil,
organized and coordinated by Valentin Fuster, MD, PhD, MACC, from the
United States of America.
This traditional and renowned event has been staged for more than 40
consecutive times. It attracted a large audience in New York City, USA,
in early December.
The unprecedented event was staged in May 2012 at the WTC/Sheraton, São
Paulo, to refresh cardiology knowledge and explore the frontiers of
knowledge, with more than 1,800 medical doctors gathered in one weekend
in the city of São Paulo. That was a remarkable success for its first
international and Brazilian edition!
Certainly the gathering of experienced lecturers selected by the
American College of Cardiology and Valentin Fuster, leaders of major
research devoted to the transfer of new diagnostic and therapeutic
cardiovascular techniques justifies the audience and their regular
attendance from the first to the last session of the event/2012.
In 2013, we invite you, clinician, cardiologist, interventionist and
cardiovascular surgeon, to participate in the second edition confirmed
for the 4th and 5th of May, 2013, WTC/Sheraton, São Paulo. The
scientific agenda will certainly meet your demands, namely, refreshing
knowledge, establishing scientific evidence and discussing controversial
aspects concerning the broad spectrum of cardiovascular diseases.
We will keep you posted on the registration deadlines and information on
the scientific agenda.
We look forward to having your support to the efforts to be made by the
Directors of SBC in staging such scientific events.
